Headed by Dr.Tong Guangqiu, NIM’s Director General and Mme. Dong Liya, Head of the Programming Department of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, the delegation visited the LNE-SYRTE laboratory. They were shown, in particular, the latest developments in optic clocks and atomic inertial sensors, technologies that the NIM would like to develop. The visit follows a long tradition of exchanges between the NIM and the Observatoire, and was an occasion to explore possible subjects of future collaboration.

Visit from a chinese delegation
On 28 September 2005, a delegation from China’s National Institute of Metrology (NIM) was received at the Observatoire de Paris by the President Daniel Egret and the Head of SYRTE, Philip Tuckey.
